Q: How do you change the brightness of this flashlight?
A: It has 3 modes of brightness and has 2 other settings that are emergency and strobe all of these modes can be accessed by turning the flashlight on and off.
Q: Is this one turned off by a clicky tail cap at the end of the flashlight?
A: Yes. Barely press it again to change the output, go to strobe, SOS etc. Hard click to turn it off.
Q: How to insert the AAA battery?
A: There should be a black battery pack that holds three triple A batteries. Then put the positive pole of the battery box outside and tighten the base.
Q: How long will the battery stay charged when not in use? And can i leave the battery in the flashlight when not in use?
A: I measured no parasitic drain when the light is off.
The flashlight will not drain the battery. The battery in the light will last as long as it's self-discharge life of the battery
Q: What type of batteries does it use? Does it come with batteries? if so what type of charger is required?
A: This flashlight can be powered by a 1X18650 lithium-ion battery or 3XAAA batteries. 1X18650 lithium-ion battery is included in the package and the charger.
Q: How to use the zoom function?
A: It is quite easy. Just pull the head of the flashlight forwards or push the head of the flashlight backward to get different light beams (spotlight or floodlight).
